COSS Lab – Teaching

Dr. Zhu is NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute Ambassador for UH and teaches Deep Learning workshops.

Dr. Zhu is a Certified Quality Matters Online Course Reviewer and reviews courses at both university and K-12 levels.

Dr. Zhu has utilized multiple popular software and machines in his teaching. For example, SolidWorks is used for computer-aided design, manufacturing, and simulation, AnSys is used for finite element simulation, and RoboDK is used for robotic simulation and offline programming. Machines include CNC mill (Intelitek and HAAS), CNC lathe (Intelitek and HAAS), PLC (Allen Bradley), and Fanuc robots. Mechanical Engineering Technology program at UH uses Simio simulation software under a grant from Simio LLC to simulation of manufacturing systems and digital twin.

As Professor and Program Coordinator at Mechanical Engineering Technology Program, Department of Engineering Technology, University of Houston (2018~), Dr. Zhu has lectured the following courses (most of them have labs):

  • MET Program Coordinator (Fall 2022 -)
